New Entrants joining on or after 30 July 2007
If you joined the Northern Ireland Civil Service on or after 30 July 2007 you have a choice of pensions.
You can choose from either;
- nuvos; or
- partnership
If you are a permanent member of staff you will be automatically enrolled into the nuvos arrangement on joining the NICS, however you will have three months to tell us if you'd prefer a partnership account.
If you are a casual member you will not be automatically enrolled into any scheme - you must fill in a PensionChoices form to join either of the above schemes.
Where do I start?
A guide to the basics: from "why do I need a pension?" to what retirement income you can expect from the State and what is available from the PCSPS(NI).
