Leaving before pension age

What happens to my pension if I leave before pension age?

Arrangement
Under 2 years service
Over 2 years service
classic
Single members – will get a refund of contributions, plus interest less income tax;
Married members – we will pay you back into the State Second Pension (S2P); or
You can transfer your classic benefits to another pension scheme.
We will preserve your pensions until you reach age 60. You should claim this 3 months before your 60th birthday; or
You can transfer your classic benefits to another pension scheme.
classic plus
As above; or
Alternatively, you can have a refund of your contributions for your service on or after 01.10.02 less the cost of paying you back into the state scheme
As above
premium
Married & single members will get a refund of contributions, plus interest, minus the cost of putting you back into the S2P and less income tax; or
You can transfer your premium benefits to another pension scheme.
As above
partnership
If you leave your job, your employer contributions will stop. You can transfer your fund to another pension provider or pension scheme or you can continue paying into it to earn investment returns.
You can draw your pension at any age from 50 to 75.
Same as for under two years service.
