Joining the scheme
On joining the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme (Northern Ireland) [PCSPS(NI)] you may wish to transfer funds from a previous pension scheme into the PCSPS(NI).
Please see the table below detailing time limits for transferring into each arrangement.

If you want to transfer your benefits from another scheme, ask your previous employer for a transfer quote. We will then provide you with an estimate of the reckonable service this will buy.
The Public Sector Transfer Club
More usually known as the ‘Club’ is a group of 120 final salary occupational pension schemes. View the list of Club members
. It allows easier movement of staff within the public sector. It does this by making sure that employees receive broadly equivalent credits when they transfer. We only apply club transfer terms in the case of voluntary moves of employment by individuals and not when groups/individuals are compulsory transferred.
