Partners

Please find below details of benefits your partner will receive under each arrangement

classic

The classic scheme rules provide pensions for widows, widowers, civil partners and children. They do not provide for unmarried partners.

classic plus

If your partner meets our qualifying conditions and you both have completed the partners declaration form (PDF 24.4KB), we will pay them a pension basesd on 1/160 of your pensionable pay for each year of reckonable service from October 2002.
If you die in service, we will increase your reckonable service, depending on your age and length of service. “Partner” can include a partner of the same sex.

premium

Provides for an unmarried partner’s pension if you have nominated your partner, and together you completed the partners declaration form (PDF 24.4KB).
Provided you have been in the scheme for 2 years we will give your surviving partner a pension for the rest of their life.

nuvos

As premium, provides for an unmarried partner’s pension if you have nominated your partner, and together you completed the partners declaration form (PDF 24.4KB).
Provided you have been in the scheme for 2 years we will give your surviving partner a pension for the rest of their life.

partnership

There is no provision under the partnership arrangement for married/unmarried partners/civil partners or dependants. However, you can choose to buy a pension that will provide income for your surviving partner when you die.
